Reporting directly to the Sr. Planning Manager, this position will operate independently and as part of a high-functioning team to develop and manage: 1) a production strategy that maximizes the efficiency of the manufacturing facilities and/or purchase strategies that result in minimum cost of acquisition, 2) an inventory strategy that ensures superior levels of customer service while efficiently utilizing available space in the distribution network, and 3) product initiatives including promotional activity, test markets and new product launches.

| Duties: | ·Maintain a product supply and maintenance strategy for Boar’s Head Manufactured or purchased items.
·Maintains and utilizes Prescient Demand Planning models and developed forecasts.
·Proactively manages the age profile of inventory, identifies issues and works with the business to resolve any issues.
·Reviews forecast projections against manufacturing or vendor capabilities.
·Supports new product development and launch.

| Qualifications: | ·B.S. in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering OR 3 years equivalent experience in a food/beverage environment. APICS certification a plus.
·Experience, comfort, and skill with personal computers including the Microsoft suite of applications. Prior use of ERP, WMS or TMS systems a strong plus.
·Understanding of Supply Chain principals, dynamics and metric.
·Good analytical skills to determine root causes, resolve operational failures, and set corrective action/course.
·Ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks, changing priorities, interruptions and frequently conflicting demands without sacrificing attention to the appropriate details.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
·Ability to travel for training or plant/vendor visits on occasion.
·Must be able to walk-through/work in a refrigerated environment for limited periods of time.
