|Description:||Within the guidelines of the departmental budget, directly supervise all national and regional public relations, social media and advertising programs and their corresponding budgets. Strategize all corporate public relations and social media tactics, as well as corporate sponsorships and associations, and market specific promotional programs and materials. Develop media strategies and creative programs with the advertising and media agencies. Manage all marketing interactive web content. This position will also assist the Sales Department in supporting and executing all advertising, public relations, social media, and promotional activities for chain partners, and independent retailers. |
|Duties:||•Develop and set direction for public relations, social media and advertising strategies with Marketing Management on an annual basis. |
•Strategize all national and regional media buys with advertising and media agencies.
•Manage all interactive web content including consumer internet website, Distributor Extranet, and employee intranet in concert with Creative Services, IT and web designer.
•Strategize public relations programs and corporate sponsorships and affiliations that align with marketing objectives that reinforce our premium status with the consumer.
•Develop all creative production to support social media, public relations and advertising efforts.
•Manage and develop relationship with outside social media and public relations agency.
•Strategize with and educate the management team, employees and Distributors on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the Company’s products and services.
•Hire, mentor and manage public relations spokesperson for all events and media opportunities for the Brand.
•Responsible for making well-substantiated recommendations for promotional programs and merchandising materials to support Distributors and Retailers.
•Establish and manage relationships with chain partner communication departments that lead to Boar’s Head inclusion in multi-faceted communication co-branding efforts with all major chain partners.
•Manage the execution of all social media, public relations and advertising efforts in all Boar’s Head markets with Zone Directors (ZDs)
•Write and/or supervise the writing of all press releases and internal communications.
•Manage public relations for all Boar’s Head facilities in conjunction with individual Human Resources and Plant Managers.
•Develop and manage communication and marketing support materials in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing yearly initiatives calendar.
•Manage reporting and tracking of all Marketing initiatives with Category Leadership.
•Coordinate all added value promotions with media agency and participating Distributors.
•In conjunction with Sales Management develop internal and external sales and marketing contests in support of social media, promotional and advertising campaigns.
•Develop advertising and public relations information to present to Distributors for campaigns on a quarterly basis.
•Communicate and obtain all necessary media and support material approvals in conjunction with Zone Directors.
•Work with Creative Services Manager to develop and coordinate campaign specific and product support materials.
•Measure and report on all social media, public relations and advertising efforts.
•Respond to Distributor and Sales Management telephone or written requests for marketing assistance.
•Represent the Company as Spokesperson if Director of Communications is not available.
•Responsible for writing and delivering the public relations section of the Marketing Module for all Distributor training classes.
•Assist with the development of presentations for all national meetings with Distributors.
•Be innovative with ideas that uphold the esteem and premium position of the Boar’s Head Brand, and elevate and solidify our relationship with consumers as well as retailer, foodservice and military customers.
|Qualifications:||•BA/BS Degree – Marketing, Communication or Public Relations Major preferred. |
•Public Relations and Communication coordination/management required.
•Copywriting skills required.
•5-7 years related experience.
•Supervisory experience required.
•Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
